Job Title: Multi-Trade Pipefitter

Overview: At EMCOR Government Services, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service through our multi-skilled workforce. This role primarily involves the layout, assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping systems and associated equipment for various applications, including steam, hot water, and industrial processing.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Utilize tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders to cut, thread, and shape pipes according to specifications.
2. Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, and fittings through methods such as welding, brazing, and soldering.
3. Install pipes to walls and fixtures using brackets and clamps, ensuring secure connections.
4. Conduct inspections and tests on installed systems using pressure gauges and other methods to ensure functionality.
5. Measure and mark pipes accurately for cutting and threading.
6. Plan and execute pipe system layouts and installations based on technical specifications.
7. Demonstrate additional skills in various crafts to meet the diverse needs of our clients.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with two years of relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Reasoning Skills:

Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Capable of addressing problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.
