Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Per Diem Senior Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at the University of California. As a key member of our ambulatory care team, you will provide high-quality patient care, maintain accurate records, and work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide total patient care, including vital signs, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Assist in medical emergencies and office procedures, such as phlebotomy and EKGs.
  • Use computerized patient care systems to document patient information and communicate with healthcare teams.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Active license issued by the State of California Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners with Intravenous Therapy and Blood Withdrawal Certification.
  • Possession of CPR certification/BCLS.
  • Knowledge of basic computer fundamentals and medical terminology.
  • Ability to speak clearly and distinctly using appropriate English vocabulary and grammar.
  • Ability to understand oral and written directives, read and write Standard English text, and perform basic arithmetic computations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current and valid California State CPT certificate.
