We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Budget Analyst to join our finance team at the City of Costa Mesa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing complex financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting support to ensure the effective management of our city's finances.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct in-depth financial and statistical analyses to inform budgeting decisions
- Develop and implement advanced budgeting systems and work measurement systems
- Research and develop new sources of revenue, expense reduction, and cost control systems
- Provide functional or lead supervision to professional, technical, or administrative staff
- Assist in preparing cost and statistical analyses for presentation to staff, departments, and the City Council
- 5 years of full-time experience in complex budgeting or financial analysis, forecasting, and administrative research
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in finance, business administration, public administration, or a directly related field
- Master's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, or a directly related field is desirable
