Environmental Services Technician

Monadnock Community Hospital is seeking a skilled Environmental Services Technician to join our team. As a key member of our cleaning staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining the health and safety of our hospital and community.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices, hallways, and other assigned areas using established policies and procedures.
  • Operate various mechanized cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.
  • Perform routine assignments in a timely and effective manner, prioritizing tasks in conjunction with staff and patients.
  • Mix and apply cleaning chemicals, following safety procedures and requirements.
  • Handle and dispose of biohazardous waste, trash, and linen, following established policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors, and respond to requests for service via beeper.
Requirements:
  • Pass a drug test, physical, and criminal background check before starting employment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and a positive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including day and evening shifts.
Compensation:

Starting hourly rate: $17.00 per hour. Per diem rate: 10%. 2nd shift differential: $2.75 per hour. Weekend differential: $2.50 per hour.

Additional compensation bonuses may be offered from time to time, depending on the needs of the department.
