Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced in-house attorney to join our team as a Commercial Law Specialist. This role will provide legal counsel to our procurement and supply chain operations, as well as our US and Canadian sales organizations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial law, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
As a Commercial Law Specialist, you will be responsible for providing legal counsel on a wide range of commercial transactions, including:

  • Drafting and negotiating agreements with vendors, suppliers, and customers
  • Providing training and support to our procurement organization
  • Resolving disputes related to purchasing, supply chain, and other areas of responsibility
  • Drafting and negotiating agreements for the provision of equipment, software, and other products
  • Assisting in the development of policies and procedures related to commercial transactions

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A JD from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association and licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state
  • 8-10 years of in-house legal experience counseling and advising on commercial transactions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of employees and management
  • A practical, business-oriented approach to problem-solving, with the ability to provide clear, concise, and commercial advice
  • Strong time and work management abilities, with the ability to prioritize initiatives appropriately and execute them to completion independently

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with counseling supply chain operations, SaaS licensing and contracting, and data privacy regulations and agreements is highly desirable.
