Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior EHS Specialist to join our team in Irvine, CA. As a key member of our Electrophysiology medical device team, you will be responsible for supporting our EHS Business Plan process, site sustainability efforts, and overall EHS business improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support development and completion of weekly and monthly reports, including safety incidents, operations reviews, and other ad hoc reports/presentations.
  • Coordinate and oversee EHS training programs, serving as a key point of contact for training organization and global EHS staff.
  • Coordinate and oversee EHS documents, SOPs, work instructions, and forms, ensuring timely development, update, peer review, and approval.
  • Take a lead role in coordinating and managing information in the Action Management Corporate IT platform, ensuring accurate and complete records.
  • Support global EHS processes, serving as a point of contact for site EHS data and supporting quality management systems, environmental management systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform traditional EHS duties, including job safety analyses, health and safety training, workplace incident investigations, and internal audits.
  • Support EHS team in managing hazardous materials and hazardous waste activities, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Provide technical support to projects, new process introductions, and process/equipment change management projects.
  • Support the control of hazardous energy, lockout/tagout program, and facilities program EHS support and contractor management.
  • Review and maintain SDS data system and inventory.
Requirements
  • B.S. Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field; M.S. preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Health and Safety field with hands-on and program management experience.
  • Ability to navigate and interpret EHS regulations, function with little direction, and drive complex projects to completion.
  • Mastery of technical skills necessary to perform traditional EHS duties at a higher, more independent level.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and daily responsibilities, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Organizational skills, attentiveness to detail, and ability to work under general supervision required.
