Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic 3 to join our team of skilled professionals. As a key member of our F-35 Sustainment HPSI Operating Unit, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repair, and launch/recovery activities on F-35 aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform maintenance, repair, and launch/recovery activities on F-35 aircraft, ensuring they are in exceptional mechanical condition and safe for flight.
- Conduct field-level modifications and TCTD maintenance actions.
- Maintain and update aircraft records and status within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) of ALIS.
- Perform required Airframe and Powerplant General (APG) tasks as part of F-35 Contractor Logistics Support (CLS).
- Assist with OJT training for team members and partner aircraft maintenance personnel.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a minimum of four years of aircraft airframes experience.
- U.S. Air Force 5 or 7-skill level, U. S. Navy, or U. S. Marine Corps CDI/CDQAR NEC, or equivalent FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) Certification.
- Active Secret Clearance or higher (US Citizenship required), ability to obtain Special Access Program clearance.
- Ability to work first, second, third, or weekend shift, as directed by the Aircraft Maintenance Manager.
- Six or more years of F-22, F-35 or 4th generation aircraft airframes systems maintenance.
- U. S. Navy, or U. S. Marine Corps experience with thorough understanding of F-35 Fighter Aircraft Systems and operations under COMNAVAIRFORINST and.
- F-35 electrohydraulic actuator replace and maintenance experience.
- Aircraft modifications and maintenance experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical data.
