Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paramedic to join our Neonatal and Pediatric Transport Team at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. As a member of our team, you will collaborate with experienced professionals to provide exceptional care during the transport of acute or critically ill/injured neonatal or pediatric patients.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the transport team to provide high-quality patient care, guided by clinical assessment, critical thinking, and established patient care guidelines.
  • Manage customer service and experience, ensuring a positive interaction with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Participate in education and process improvement initiatives, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in transport medicine.
  • Document patient care accurately and thoroughly, adhering to department and entity policy.
  • Utilize transport and critical care equipment competently, performing or assisting with Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) skills during patient care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a paramedic program accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
  • Three years' active pre-hospital Paramedic experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Constant use of speech to share information through oral communication.
  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, reaching, and keyboard use/data entry.
Work Environment

This is a variable shift position, requiring flexibility and adaptability. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
