Job Summary
The Department of Molecular Biology & Biochemistry at the University of California, Irvine, is occasionally seeking Project Scientist positions throughout the year. These positions are sponsored by faculty members of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry in the Charlie Dunlop School of Biological Sciences.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and contribute to the development of new projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate with faculty members and other researchers to advance the field of molecular biology and biochemistry.
- Develop and implement research plans, protocols, and procedures.
- Manage and maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and resources.
- Recruit and supervise research staff, including postdoctoral scholars and graduate students.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in a relevant field, such as molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
- Strong research background and experience in molecular biology and biochemistry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
