About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our team at Illumio, a pioneer and market leader in Zero Trust segmentation. As a key member of our Machine Learning team, you will play a critical role in building a pioneering product focused on solving cybersecurity issues faced by businesses of all scales.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and build a zero-trust security advisor, a conversational interface to interact with security policies and traffic data.
  2. Develop Large Language Models (LLMs) for code generation and UI interactions, providing vital security insights to organizations about their infrastructure.
  3. Employ state-of-the-art pre-trained LLM/Azure Open AI models to build the conversational interface for our customers to analyze, summarize information and interact with Illumio's UI/APIs.
  4. Perform fine-tuning of open source local LLM models to improve the responses for users and handle complex queries.
  5. Collaborate with seasoned machine learning, full-stack and cybersecurity engineers to deploy large-scale models to production.

Requirements:

  1. Proficiency in GPT/OpenAI API and prompt engineering.
  2. Comprehensive grasp on Natural Language Processing techniques.
  3. Experience in implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAGs) to leverage structured and unstructured data.
  4. Hands-on model building with Hugging Face, LangChain or other production-ready frameworks.

What We Offer:

A competitive salary range of $178,000 - $205,000, plus a wide range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision coverage, life and disability programs, paid parental leave, and more.
