Job Summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the agency light duty fleet and the Campus Bus Fleet. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the fleet is maintained in accordance with state regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of fleet maintenance, including scheduling preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Coordinate with agency staff to ensure that fleet-related repairs or work do not impact their responsibilities.
  • Attend Fleet Council meetings and ADOT customer meetings to ensure compliance with new requirements.
  • Coordinate vehicle exchanges, transfers, and surplus.
  • Review vehicle transfer paperwork for completeness and correctness.
  • Audit fleet data reports and budgeting, providing updates to the Operations Manager (Transportation) and Director of Operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies related to the fleet.
  • Assist staff with roadside emergencies.
  • Record assignment and distribute ASDB fuel cards.
  • Coordinate with payroll and the Risk/Safety coordinator annual forms and training.
  • Ensure all vehicle registration and insurance paperwork is up to date.
  • Assist with auto loss reporting with the state Risk Management department.
  • Cross-train in one or more organizational administrative positions.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of administrative support experience.
  • Centralized fleet services or large-scale organizing-focused project experience.

Retirement:

Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS). Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
