Structural Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Provide consultation on connectors and lateral systems for the design, development and implementation of technical products and systems.
- Work in a collaborative environment of structural design engineers, material specialists, product managers and manufacturing experts.
- Participate in product design and implementation driven by customer needs, changes in materials and methods, processes, and building codes.
- Provide technical support and information to branch engineers, designers, customers, and other business units.
- Recommend and implement alterations and enhancements to improve quality, performance, customer service, and reduce product costs.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering required.
- Passed NCEES Fundamentals of Engineer (FE) Exam required.
- Coursework or structural design experience, including steel, timber and/or reinforced concrete structures.
- Practical working knowledge of common timber, concrete and steel construction methods.
- Familiarity with Simpson Strong-Tie products is a plus.
Working Conditions
- This position requires domestic and international travel up to 10% of the time.
- This full-time, exempt position is located in Pleasanton, CA. Remote work may be considered for well qualified candidates.
