Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join our team at Shoemaker Homes. As a bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, including accounts receivable and payables, general ledger journal entries, and payroll.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform data entry to ensure all financial data is accurately recorded in our accounting software.
  • Process invoices, checks, and payroll payments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain and update accurate financial records, tax reports, contracts, annual budgets, and financial statements.
  • Manage all financial transactions, including credit card and bank reconciliations, and oversee the accounts payables and receivables process.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger and journal entries, and prepare balance sheets and financial reports for review.
Requirements
  • An associate's degree in accounting or a related field is preferred, but a high school diploma is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and accounting software, such as QuickBooks.
  • Exceptional organization, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.
