We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to deliver exceptional patient care in our 30-bed surgical care unit. As a member of our team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients who are acutely ill and recovering from a wide variety of surgical, medical, and post-surgical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered nursing care and participate in patient and family education.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement a care plan to meet each patient's needs.
- Utilize computerized documentation systems to monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate.
- Coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Maintain cultural and diversity awareness when interacting with patients, visitors, co-workers, and other customers.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree from an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
- A current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or a current Multistate Compact License.
- At least one year of medical-surgical experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
- Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification.
