We are seeking a skilled Sign Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Signs & Services Company, Inc. in the exciting field of sign making.

Job Summary:

As a Sign Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality signs and components. This includes setting up machines, loading materials, monitoring operations, and ensuring finished products meet specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Operation:
    • Configure CNC machines according to work orders and blueprints.
    • Load materials onto machines, including various substrates and plastics.
    • Start machines and monitor operations to ensure proper functioning.
    • Make necessary adjustments to machines and tooling to optimize production.
    • Inspect finished products to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Machine Maintenance:
    • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
    • Clean and lubricate machines and tooling.
    • Change tooling as needed.
    • Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report major problems to supervisor.
  • Safety and Quality:
    • Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations.
    • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
    • Follow quality control procedures to ensure products meet company standards.
  • Other:
    • Assist with other production tasks as needed.
    • Maintain accurate production records.
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Previous experience operating CNC machines, preferably in a sign manufacturing environment.
    • Familiarity with various substrates and plastics used in sign making.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
    • Attention to detail and precision.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Basic computer skills.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
    • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
    • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
    • Ability to work in a noisy environment.

Salary:

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits.
