Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Dan Dierdorf Emergency and Trauma Center at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. As a Nurse Leader, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and coordination of unit staffing while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care.
  • Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shifts.
  • Contribute to or perform performance evaluations of staff.
  • Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments.
  • Collaborate with advanced practice providers to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
  • Respond to complaints about patient care and manage through established channels.
Requirements
  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
  • Frequent sitting, reaching, and keyboard use/data entry.
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) - Emergency Nurses Association (ENA).
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - American Academy Pediatrics (AAP).
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) - Emergency Nurses Association (ENA).
