Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate jobs with outside services, such as subcontractors, and management to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Resource Management: Organize equipment, material, and labor to complete projects efficiently.
  • Quality Control: Verify accuracy of locates, materials, and billings to ensure high-quality work.
  • Communication: Call in or email locates as needed and complete change orders following procedures.
  • Production Monitoring: Monitor production reports and complete final asbuilts and tab sheets of units placed.
  • Safety Management: Support Supervisors and Foreman to monitor and enforce all company and outside required safety policies and procedures.
  • Employee Management: Assist supervisors in the management and retention of new and existing employees.
  • Administrative Tasks: Review and approve employee time-cards, manage materials using a spreadsheet, and complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous supervisor experience required.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of quality processes and safety programs, as well as proper installation processes.
  • Skills: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, calculate figures, and apply reasoning to carry out instructions.
  • Software: Knowledge of Internet software, project management software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software.
  • Certifications: Must maintain a current DOT health card certificate and a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Work Environment

The Underground Construction Superintendent will work in a moderately noisy environment and will be required to frequently stand, sit, and walk, occasionally kneel, squat, bend, and twist. The position may require occasional work in adverse weather conditions and lifting up to 75 lbs.
