Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the acquisition of materials, services, and product needs for various projects.
  • Collaborates with project leaders to pinpoint materials with extended lead times.
  • Generates purchase orders utilizing Coupa and Costpoint systems.
  • Ensures that supplier documentation, including terms, conditions, and non-disclosure agreements, is prepared before engagement.
  • Oversees supplier orders, tracks backlog and daily order status, adjusts timelines as necessary, and manages purchase orders with overdue shipments and outstanding orders.
  • Addresses discrepancies related to procurement, delivery, receiving, accounts payable invoices, and supplier payments.
  • Accelerates material acquisition for effective shortage management.
  • Coordinates the return of incorrect materials to vendors following receiving inspections.
  • Participates in ongoing improvement initiatives across all areas of the supply chain.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a tactical purchasing role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a relevant discipline.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Windows applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Capable of working effectively both in teams and independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Outstanding organizational and analytical capabilities.
  • Proven negotiation skills with successful outcomes.
