Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiothoracic Anesthetist to join our team at Emory University Hospital and Emory University Hospital Midtown. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary group of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Administer general and regional anesthesia to surgical and non-surgical procedure patients
  • Perform initial acute cardio-pulmonary resuscitation in life-threatening situations or as directed by a physician
  • Interpret and record patient's physiological and pharmacological status
  • Assist the Anesthesiologist in gathering routine pre-op data
  • Participate in research projects as carried out by an Anesthesiologist
  • Establish multi-parameter monitoring of patient prior to, during and after anesthesia or in other acute care situations
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) Master's Degree program
  • Licensed or eligible to practice in the State of Georgia
  • Certified by National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) or National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA)
  • Must maintain biannual certification through the submission of Continuing Medical Education credits (CMEs)
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA) required
