Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Central Plant System Technician I (Shift Work) to join our team at Government Jobs. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for operating, adjusting, servicing, and performing minor repairs and maintenance of automated heating, ventilating, air-conditioning (HVAC), and associated systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and take routine or emergency actions upon receipt of alarms, requests for services, or when supported systems instrumentation indicates
  • Operate, adjust, service, and perform minor repairs and maintenance of automated HVAC systems and equipment
  • Collaborate with other facilities team members to ensure seamless operation of building systems
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting equipment, to ensure optimal performance
  • Respond to emergency situations, such as system failures or equipment malfunctions, in a timely and effective manner
Work Schedule

This is a shift work position, requiring a five (5) day work week, including weekdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. You will be expected to work a variety of shifts, including morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, as well as occasional overtime.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in HVAC systems and equipment, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
