Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with minimally invasive procedures and provide diagnostic aid by using fluoroscopic equipment to conduct scans on patients according to established practices and standards.
  • Prepare equipment, monitor inventory, maintain cleanliness of procedure room and work area.
  • Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner, explaining all procedures to the patient and performing physical assessments by checking IVs, catheters, tubing, etc.
  • Assist the radiologist in administering medications and contrast agents intravenously and maintain sterile technique during Interventional Radiology procedures.
  • Review scans for technical accuracy in real-time and complete verification process in PACS in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved program.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist with ARRT.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Ability to perform Interventional Procedures.
  • Effective communication and management skills within a service line environment.
  • Two years of experience as a Radiology Technologist.
