Portsmouth Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Lead Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our organization.

Job Summary

As a Lead Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting physicians with minimally invasive procedures, providing diagnostic aid, and maintaining the highest standards of patient care. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the accuracy and quality of imaging procedures, while also providing a safe and comfortable environment for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with interventional procedures, including preparing equipment and maintaining a sterile environment
  • Provide diagnostic aid by using fluoroscopic equipment to conduct scans on patients
  • Monitor inventory, maintain cleanliness of procedure room and work area, and ensure compliance with established practices and standards
  • Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner, explaining procedures and performing physical assessments as needed
  • Assist radiologists in administering medications and contrast agents intravenously, while maintaining sterile technique during procedures
  • Review scans in real-time for technical accuracy and complete verification process in PACS in a timely manner
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved program
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist with ARRT
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • Ability to perform interventional procedures and effectively communicate within a service line environment
  • Two years of experience as a Radiology Technologist
