Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer/Designer with Revit design experience to contribute to our team at Capital Projects, a leading engineering firm based in Suwanee, GA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineers to prepare drawings, calculations, and specifications for electrical designs on commercial and industrial projects.
  • Utilize Revit to create complex mechanical layouts and design drawings, applying theoretical and practical design knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, and company policies and procedures.
  • Implement advanced software to complete assignments and meet layout requirements.
  • Develop alternate design layouts of systems as needed and ensure design safety factors, tolerances, and specifications are met.
  • Review supplier data and supplier/manufacturer drawings.
  • Check orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) drawings prepared by others.
  • Perform checking procedures as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
  • Assist in training junior designers in various procedures and practices.
  • Some travel may be required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of Revit MEP design experience.
  • Minimum of four years of relevant experience working on commercial and/or industrial facility projects.
  • Strong PC and CAD skills, as well as efficiency in utilizing computer software to complete design assignments.
