Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with medical exams and treatments, ensuring a safe and compassionate experience.
  • Record patient medical history, medications, allergies, and vital statistics in medical records.
  • Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing, ensuring proper handling and storage.
  • Explain treatment procedures, medications, and instructions to patients, promoting understanding and adherence.
  • Assist physicians with surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to facility policies.
  • Monitor patient condition during exams and procedures, notifying physicians and RNs of any signs of distress.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests and sample analyses, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Respond to emergency situations, adhering to nursing standards, policies, and protocols.
Requirements
  • One (1) year of experience in a medical setting, preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and medications.
  • Detail-oriented, professional attitude, and reliable management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic to intermediate computer operation and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
