As a Forklift Operator at Fresh Express, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and logistics functions. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Operating a forklift, walker, or hand jack to move materials within the warehouse, including raw product, dry goods, and finished goods.
  • Following proper procedures for product rotation and flow through the warehouse.
  • Inspecting equipment for defects before and after use and submitting vehicle inspection reports.
  • Using "Vocollect Hands Free" equipment to receive, load, and fill orders accurately.
  • Manually lifting and stacking boxes of finished product on order and placing product onto a pallet.
  • Stretch wrapping product stacked on a pallet for shipping.
  • Operating electric forklifts or pallet jacks to transport product in the warehouse to trailers.
  • Reporting damaged cases and case discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Assisting in general maintenance and cleanup of the warehouse and trailers.

Requirements:

  • Ability to manually lift up to 70 pounds from 92 inches or below to floor level.
  • Ability to manually lift boxes of product weighing up to 20 pounds from 5 inches (pallet) up to 92 inches.
  • Ability to operate electric forklifts or pallet jacks to push and pull loaded skids or product a distance of approximately 20-75 pounds of force.
  • Ability to work in a cold (34 degrees F) and wet environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Forklift Certified.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
