Mammography Department Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mammography Department Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Mammography Department at Mercy Health Crystal Lake Hospital. As a key member of our radiology team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality mammography services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the operations of the Mammography Department, including planning, assigning, supervising, and reviewing the work of staff involved in the delivery of mammography services.
- Assist the Mammography Supervisor with regulatory compliance, including MQSA, ACR, EQUIP, and Physicist Testing.
- Ensure staffing plans are adequate and staff is in compliance with regulations.
- Maintain equipment and perform QA/QC testing to ensure compliance.
- Perform mammography and other advanced-level procedures under the direction of a radiologist.
- Maintain patient records in accordance with the Mammography Reporting System and regulatory bodies.
- Assist with staffing schedules as needed.
- Participate in interview processes, hiring decisions, and new personnel orientation.
- Act as a preceptor for new staff technologists.
- Serve as a leadership resource to the radiology groups.
- Manage customer concerns and occurrences, and implement service recovery efforts.
- Oversight and participation in mammography QA/QC functions.
- Run reports from the mammography reporting system.
- Graduate of an accredited radiography and mammography training program.
- Three years of experience as a mammographer required.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Epic Mammography experience required.
- ARRT certified in Radiography and Mammography.
- Bone Densitometry certification preferred but not required.
- IEMA-DNS and/or WI DSPS.
- CPR Certification.

The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee must exert up to 25 pounds of force frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required by this job include frequent close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
