Position SummaryThe Clinical Nursing Supervisor will:
- Oversee daily clinical nursing functions to meet hospital standards and operational needs.
- Ensure effective preparation and assessment of nursing staff activities and schedules for continuous coverage.
- Act as the managerial and clinical liaison between the Nurse Manager and/or Department Director during their absence and the on-call administrator.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including attending physicians, Registered Nurses (RNs), and support staff to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Advocate for patients and their families by fostering meaningful relationships through safety interventions, emotional support, and education.
Qualifications:
- A strong commitment to Nursing Leadership.
- Minimum of 3 years of acute care clinical RN experience.
- Previous experience in house-wide Nursing Supervision; critical care or emergency nursing experience is preferred.
- 2-5 years of leadership or healthcare management experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with hospital and nursing policies, regulatory agency requirements, and staffing patterns.
- Ability to manage stressful situations and apply professional judgment in resolving administrative and operational challenges.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is mandatory.
- Licensure: Valid New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
Salary Range: USD - USD /Hr.
