Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough verification of prescription orders, including legend, over-the-counter, and controlled substances.
- Evaluate medication orders and ensure accuracy against the medications presented.
- Oversee the pre-verification process for medications dispensed through advanced mechanical systems.
- Complete the verification and dispensing of controlled substances, adhering to regulatory standards.
- Implement Quality Assurance measures and supervise pharmacy technicians.
- Adhere to established policies for documentation and reporting in compliance with federal regulations.
- Identify and report any discrepancies in medication orders promptly.
- Ensure comprehensive checking, labeling, and quality assurance in accordance with pharmaceutical guidelines.
- Compound and dispense medications while following corporate and regulatory protocols.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid pharmacy license in the United States.
- Graduation from an ACPE accredited pharmacy program is required.
- Licensure for controlled substances is necessary.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and MS Office applications is required.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
- Ability to pass credentialing requirements for healthcare providers.
- Physical capability to perform tasks such as standing for extended periods and lifting moderate weights.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform various physical activities including lifting, standing, and reaching.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and carrying up to 40 lbs over reasonable distances.
- Must be able to push or pull with a force of up to 30 lbs.
