As a Security Officer at UPMC, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff while maintaining a safe and secure environment. This includes inspecting incoming and outgoing parcels to prevent theft and responding to problems, disputes, and unusual circumstances as necessary. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing parcels as necessary to prevent theft.
• Respond to and resolve problems, disputes, and unusual circumstances as necessary.
• Maintain required certifications and licensings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a security training program or certification preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a variety of settings, including but not limited to hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities. The individual in this role will be required to work a variable schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The individual may be required to respond to emergencies and work in a fast-paced environment. The individual in this role must be able to work effectively in a team environment and have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
