**Job Overview**

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our hospice team in a per diem capacity. As an end-of-life care specialist, you will have the opportunity to provide patient-centered care and support to individuals and their families during their final stages.

**About the Role**

  • Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions for patients in a hospice setting.
  • Consult with the multidisciplinary team regularly to evaluate patient status and appropriateness of care.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team planning to collaborate with other disciplines to determine appropriate care and services needed.

**Requirements**

  • A current license as a Registered Nurse in Maine or licensed from a compact state is required.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision are essential.
  • Strong technology/computer skills and previous experience with electronic medical records (EMR) are preferred.
