Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Critical Care Pharmacist to join our evening shift team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing critical care pharmacy services to our patients in the Emergency Department (ED), Newborn Intensive Care (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This includes responding to traumas in the ED and codes throughout the hospital.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing safe and effective medication therapy to patients in the ED, NICU, and PICU
  • Responding to traumas in the ED and codes throughout the hospital
  • Performing and overseeing the medication reconciliation process at the patient's admission transition point from the ED
  • Attending evening PICU rounds to collaborate with the patient care teams to improve patient care outcomes and safety through clinical recommendations and interventions

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
  • Eligibility for licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Ohio
  • 2 years of hospital experience or PGY1 residency training at a children's hospital

Compensation

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
