Job Summary

The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for full life cycle support of Class III, ASIC-driven neuromodulation platforms. The life cycle begins with defining system and ASIC architecture, features, and specifications and continues through board-level and system-level production test fixture development.

Job responsibilities span from the implanted neuromodulation system to associated peripherals such as patient and clinician programmers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hardware level design of Class III implantable neuromodulation devices and peripherals.
  • PCB electrical schematic design and layout
  • Debug and solve hardware performance issues
  • Circuit layouts for ASIC evaluations & development platforms
  • Develop automated test systems for ASICs and board-level assemblies
  • Specify and assemble hardware for test stations
  • Ensure that medical device components are compliant with applicable international standards and requirements

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree (STEM engineering discipline preferred) and 5 years of experience required; or a combination of education and relevant work experience
  • Experience in an engineering environment with mechanical, tool design, and manufacturing processes (medical device preferred)
  • Meticulous attention to detail, including ability to maintain accurate records and traceability
  • Experienced with Quality Control principles and methodology
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English
  • Analytical reasoning and problem-solving
  • Experience in developing requirements, engineering specifications, procedures
  • Team player and goal-oriented
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
