System Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our team at Scott County Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure, providing technical support to staff, and implementing new technologies to improve our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and update software, hardware, and network devices to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Monitor system performance, security, and reliability to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Provide technical support to staff, including troubleshooting and resolving IT-related problems.
  • Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights to maintain data security and integrity.
  • Document system configurations, policies, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance.
  • Train and assist staff on IT-related matters to improve their skills and productivity.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to improve our services.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional certifications in IT are a plus.
  • Knowledge of current trends in the IT field and ability to adapt to new technologies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of desktop and network operating systems, applications, and network protocols.
  • Knowledge of system security, backup, and recovery best practices.
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Expectation of Service:

  • This is a non-exempt, 40-hour per week position. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
