Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Communication Specialist to join our team of dedicated professionals at ResCare Premier Inc. in providing top-notch rehabilitation services for individuals with neurological disorders.

About the Role:

As a Communication Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting thorough evaluations and treatments for patients with speech, language, and cognitive impairments. Your expertise will help patients achieve their maximum potential and improve their quality of life.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and treat patients with complex neurological injuries, including those with speech, language, and cognitive disorders
  • Review patient records to understand current diagnosis, medical history, precautions, and contraindications
  • Develop tailored treatment plans to meet individual patient needs and goals
  • Track patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including BCBA, therapists, social workers, and family members
  • Manage scheduling for therapy sessions and maintain accurate documentation
  • Participate in staff development programs and continuing education to enhance clinical skills

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should possess a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program and hold a valid license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Additionally, a minimum of one year's experience working with patients with complex neurological injuries is required. You should also demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
