Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for performing various ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, OB, head, extremity, retroperitoneal, small parts, and vascular exams. They may also be required to perform cardiac procedures as needed. Our ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and the ability to produce high-quality images in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities- Imaging Procedures: Perform ultrasound procedures, including preparing patients, positioning them correctly, and observing their condition during the exam.
- Radiation Safety: Adhere to all rules and regulations related to radiation safety, ensuring minimal exposure for both patients and staff.
- Image Quality: Produce high-quality images that meet clinical standards, documenting any unusual occurrences or patient conditions.
- Patient Care: Provide excellent patient care, including communication, instruction, and emotional support before, during, and after the exam.
- Float Requirements: Be willing to float to other Centura locations within a 60-mile radius or designated 'float zone,' adapting to new environments and responsibilities as needed.
- Experience: One year of ultrasound experience is strongly preferred.
- Availability: Ability to provide on-call coverage outside standard scheduled hours, as per department and/or facility policy.
