Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the orientation and training of junior Consultant Pharmacists
  • Evaluates clinical records to assess medical necessity and adherence to program standards
  • Determines the approval or rejection of medication prior authorization requests
  • Offers pharmaceutical insights to the advisory board's clinical committees
  • Tracks medication usage among members
  • Aids in compliance oversight and research initiatives
  • Refers potential cases of misuse for additional investigation
  • Engages in client consultations and quality improvement projects
  • Executes other essential responsibilities as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR Doctor of Pharmacy with at least 1 year of relevant experience OR Doctor of Pharmacy with completion of a residency program
  • Eligibility for licensure or a current pharmacist license in Massachusetts
  • Willingness to travel to various locations as needed
