Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer with Swanson Rink, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects with high-profile clients, collaborating to find innovative solutions for their unique needs.

Responsibilities
  • Design electrical systems for data centers, aviation, and commercial/industrial facilities, including power systems, UPS and generator support systems, and electrical one-line diagrams.
  • Conduct short circuit and voltage drop calculations, fuse and circuit breaker coordination studies, and prepare studies on various electrical systems.
  • Develop specifications for lighting and power systems, review contractor's shop drawings and submittals, and conduct construction observations.
  • Stay current with industry trends by participating in seminars and training events.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited four-year college or university.
  • Pass the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam or be willing to pass the exam within the first 60 days of employment.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer or Architect or be willing to become licensed.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a consulting engineer.
  • Ability to pass background checks, security screenings, or drug testing as required by clients and/or Federal contracts.
