**Job Overview**

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Clinical Nurse to join our team at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a key member of our GI unit, you will provide high-quality patient care while working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary healthcare team.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Patient Care: Deliver safe, competent, and compassionate care to patients based on nursing theory and research, applying the principles of Relationship Centered Care.
  • Clinical Expertise: Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills in patient management and integrating relevant assessment and intervention skills.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in developing, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care, promoting health and preventing disease.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, family, and healthcare team members.

**Requirements**

  • Graduation from an accredited Nursing program (BSN or ADN)
  • Licensed as a registered nurse with current registration in New York State
  • Basic Life Saver (BLS) certification
  • NRP (Labor and Delivery, NICU department), ACLS (in ED; PACU/ASU; ICUs; Telemetry Units; SDU; IR, Interventional Cardiology (CCL/EP/Echo); L&D; Endoscopy), PALS (in ED; PACU; IR; Peds ICU, and APNs Pediatric Oncology depts.) certifications
