Aveanna Private Duty Nurse RN Job Description

Aveanna's Private Duty nurses provide one-on-one care to medically fragile children and adults in the comfort of their own homes. As a Private Duty Nurse RN, you will work closely with our patients and their families to develop personalized care plans that meet their unique needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement physicians' prescribed plans of care
  • Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care
  • Administer prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies
  • Document care provided in our system of record
  • Teach and train family members on health promotion and disease management
  • Communicate with physicians, clients, family members, and staff on client problems, concerns, and changes in client condition
Qualifications:
  • Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice
  • CPR certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or BLS
  • TB skin test (current within last 12 months)
  • 6 months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
  • Reliable transportation
