Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a Police Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our patients, visitors, and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol hospital grounds and respond to emergency situations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence to support law enforcement actions.
  • Provide excellent customer service and interact with patients, visitors, and employees in a respectful and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and hospital departments to ensure a seamless and effective response to emergencies.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest law enforcement techniques and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid North Carolina driver's license.
  • Certification as a law enforcement officer in accordance with the provisions of the North Carolina Criminal Justice Training and Standards Commission.
  • At least two years of law enforcement experience in a healthcare or campus setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
