This is a hands-on position primarily scheduled from 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility required for weekends and holidays based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the General Manager in reviewing housekeeping schedules, training protocols, and supply management.
  • Work closely with the General Manager and Chief Engineer to address guest inquiries and feedback regarding room and public area maintenance.
  • Coordinate staffing coverage during absences for Room Attendants, Laundry Attendants, and Public Area Cleaners.
  • Participate in monthly inventory assessments of room supplies, linens, and other housekeeping essentials.
  • Communicate with the General Manager regarding low supply levels outside of the regular inventory cycle.
  • Greet guests in the hotel lobby and throughout public spaces, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Conduct training and provide feedback to team members within the housekeeping department.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to guarantee exceptional guest service.
  • Engage in the recruitment process for new housekeeping staff as needed.
  • Possibly assist with front desk duties and guest inquiries.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with guests and team members.
  • Ensure adherence to Sleep Inn & Suites standards and protocols.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to the guest services team.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in the rooms division, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, capable of interacting professionally with guests and staff.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with front desk software, such as SkyTouch or Choice Advantage, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
