Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic procedures using state-of-the-art computerized imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic procedures, including CT scans, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Start and maintain intravenous (IV) access and use high-speed, pressurized injection equipment as needed.
  • Evaluate patients for clinical contrast history and potential contraindications.
  • Adhere to established protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Interact with patients and care providers to coordinate and prioritize procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care and continuity.
  • Assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy procedures using CT equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and compliant with Infection Control standards.
  • Accurately code and enter charges for procedures.
  • Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to CHRISTUS Health's Core values.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
  • 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting required.
  • 3 years of CT experience in a clinical imaging setting preferred.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in CT.
  • Current state licensure and BLS certification required.
