Medcor is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse or Paramedic to join our team on a PRN basis (as-needed) to work in an employer-based, occupational health clinic setting in Kansas City, MO. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

The Worksite Health Nurse or Paramedic will provide primary clinical care in an occupational and urgent care health clinic, supervising and overseeing the allied healthcare staff. The position requires collaborative work with medical and operational leadership at Medcor and key contacts within the client's corporate structure.

A typical day in the life of a Worksite Health Nurse or Paramedic may include:

  • Participating in daily operations at Medcor's on-site clinic
  • Providing superior customer service to Medcor's client and employees
  • Assessing and treating workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor's Evidence-Based Medicine protocols
  • Building and maintaining internal team relationships
  • Supporting onsite employee health and wellness efforts
  • Conducting pre-employment and post-offer screenings
  • Documenting care using state-of-the-art EMR and other tools
  • Performing Physical Assessment Testing (PATs)
  • Managing cases
  • Creating medical charts
  • Maintaining OSHA records

It's a plus if you:

  • are comfortable working in a worksite clinic environment
  • have relevant occupational health experience
