Job Summary:

The Production Lead will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and functioning within established parameters. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the setup, adjustment, and maintenance of processing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with production personnel and supervisors to identify and resolve production issues.
  • Conduct regular visual inspections to ensure defect-free work and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Load materials into machines and monitor the flow of materials through the production process.
  • Perform minor package change-overs and adjust equipment as required.
  • Assist line mechanics in machinery repair and other tasks as needed.
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning properly before starting a run, including air and conveyor systems.
  • Conduct visual inspections of boxes to ensure proper box/tray usage and graphics are acceptable.
  • Verify flavor and size according to schedule and report any major defects to the Supervisor and/or Manager.
  • Monitor the machine while running and check for proper bottle/can packing.
  • Fill glue pots as necessary and clear the machine of all products at the end of each run and shift.
  • Follow work rules and adhere to GMP compliance at all times.
  • Report any quality issues to the Supervisor, QA Technician, and/or Manager.
  • Assist in relieving other operators for lunch breaks and maintain a clean work area.

Requirements:

  • High School/General Education Diploma required.
  • Prior bottling/canning experience a plus.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Pass a background, physical, and drug test.
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible Full Time schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to provide own transportation to various locations in the organizational service area, as required by duties.
