Job Summary:

Durr Systems Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Equipment Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and estimating process equipment, including PT ED, Booths, Ovens, Work Decks, and enclosures. You will work closely with customers to develop equipment layouts, process equipment schematics, and technical documentation for inclusion in sales proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze customer technical specifications and develop equipment layouts and schematics
  • Coordinate in-house estimating activities, including relevant drawings and specifications, as well as major subcontractors
  • Arrange intercompany activities with offices in Germany and Mexico
  • Collaborate with layout engineers to develop layouts and Visio schematics for paint process equipment
  • Utilize project management, robotics, control, and automation engineering tools to perform duties
  • Investigate alternative sources for equipment and subcontractors
  • Develop technical specifications and clarifications for bids, as well as project and job schedules
  • Coordinate job handover and support job implementation by attending planning meetings and design reviews
  • Conduct technical presentations and provide clarification to customers and other departments

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field of study
  • Three (3) years of experience in a related occupation, such as Automation Engineer, Controls Engineer, Project Development Engineer, or Project Leader

Location: Southfield, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the US

Salary: $91,800 per year
