Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our team at Fetch Veterinary. As a critical member of our emergency response team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our clients and their pets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the triage, stabilization, and medical treatment of emergency patients under the direction of a veterinarian.
  • Perform diagnostic tests, such as blood work and radiographs, and interpret results to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Administer medications, fluids, and treatments as directed by a veterinarian.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate medical records for each patient.
  • Monitor patients during hospitalization and report changes in condition to the veterinary staff.
  • Communicate patient treatment plans and instructions to pet owners.
  • Provide emotional support and education to pet owners during difficult and stressful times.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification as a Veterinary Technician is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Emergency Technician is preferred.
  • Excellent technical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility with work schedule, including availability for on-call, weekend shifts, and holidays.
