Job Summary

SAIC is seeking an Electronics Technician to join our team in Hanahan, SC.

The Electronics Technician will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting various types of electronic equipment and related devices. This includes electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, such as radar, radio, television, telecommunication, sonar, and navigational aids.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electronics principles and be able to apply technical knowledge to perform routine tasks following detailed Work Instructions and/or Technical Drawing Packages. The Electronics Technician will be responsible for integrating, assembling, and/or replacing components, wiring circuits, and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply technical knowledge of electronics principles to determine equipment malfunctions
  • Apply skill in restoring equipment operation
  • Evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production mode
  • Recommend changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Formal electronics training from a technical school, Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program
  • Two (2) years of practical experience in electronics repair, maintenance, and checkout
  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance

SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline. SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
