Electrical Systems Technician

- Job Responsibilities:
- Perform moderate to complex vehicle integration tasks to include cable routing, metal work installations, and technical support for the integration, installation, modification, and upgrade of C5ISR systems.
- Read and follow integration documentation, written or verbal instructions, schematics, rough sketches, drawings, and diagrams, layouts, and plans often requiring interpretation.
- Ability to safely complete all physical demands of the job in a manufacturing environment, including lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a regular basis. The job also involves walking, bending, stooping, sitting, standing, or squatting for extended periods.
- Repetitive manipulation and handling of tools needed for installing electrical components, mechanical parts, and metal work into vehicles.
- Familiarity with the use and operation of power tools is necessary.
- Move and arrange cable supplies and electronic equipment.
- Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science; or formal electronics training from Technical School, Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four-year electronics apprentice program; or High School diploma or GED.
- Six years with degree/formal training or ten years with a High School diploma or GED of practical experience.
- Five years of practical experience in C4ISR systems, C4ISR land-based vehicular platforms, or related C4ISR systems/subsystems including installation of such equipment.
- Three years of experience in design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents and drawings.
- Four years of experience in C4ISR systems, C4ISR land-based vehicular platforms, or related C4ISR systems/subsystems, of which three must have been performed within the last four years.
- Must have Microsoft Excel knowledge.
- Security Clearance:
- Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a DOD Public Trust security clearance. Active clearances accepted.
- SAIC Policy:
- SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
- SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
