Civil Project Manager - Land Development

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Project Manager to join our team at Westwood Professional Services, Inc. in Austin, TX.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing land development civil engineering projects efficiently, meeting schedules and budgets. They will lead land development civil teams to produce civil plan sets, coordinate with Owner/Architect and outside team members to execute projects, and effectively manage internal support teams.

  • Lead land development civil teams to produce civil plan sets
  • Coordinate with Owner/Architect and outside team members to execute projects
  • Effectively manage internal support teams, including survey, traffic, hydrology and hydraulics, etc.
  • Implement QA/QC program and ensure compliance within project team
  • Work with City/County staff for approval of project plans
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and allocate resources through differing project stages
  • Administer the construction services portions of projects, including RFI response, site meetings with contractors, etc.
  • Manage up to five (5) assigned technical personnel, including assigning and overseeing project assignments, reviewing work for accuracy and completeness, training staff and promoting professional development, maintaining job satisfaction and morale, and assisting with performance evaluations
Requirements
  • Demonstrate competence in fundamental civil engineering design principles for land development projects
  • Experienced in cost estimating, bid phase assistance construction administration, and general construction methods
  • Demonstrate proficiency with current computer aided design (CAD/Civil 3D) and production software and ability to learn new versions or new technology
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of total experience, with four (4) as a Project Manager (or equivalent)
  • Graduate from an accredited university or college with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Experience or degrees in other disciplines may be substituted at Management's discretion)
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas (or eligible for licensure in the state of Texas)
