Job SummaryThis is a full-time position working 6:30am-3pm, Monday through Friday, with call required. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in neuro-specific surgery, including neuro craniotomy-tumor and neuro spine procedures.
Responsibilities- Provide expert perioperative patient care through the use of equipment and instrumentation.
- Function as a scrub assistant to the physician performing operative and/or invasive procedures.
- Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and as outlined in the Surgical Technologist Skills Inventory.
- Use knowledge and expertise to act as a role model and resource for other staff.
- Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program.
- Certified in Basic Life Support.
- Current Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
- 2+ years of neuro-specific experience, including neuro craniotomy-tumor and neuro spine procedures.
